At a time of rising authoritarianism, communities and organizations must come together to resist threats, intimidation, and abuses of power. One of the most potent ways to do this is to plan ahead so that anticipated attacks backfire against perpetrators. Drawing insights from research and practitioners around the world, this session outlines a five-step backfire planning framework that can be applied by groups at a range of scales, from the local to the national level.
