The Season of Faithful Witness is a new movement launched by Pax Christi USA, NETWORK Lobby, Ignatian Solidarity Network, Jesuit Relief Services, Jesuits West, PICO, Franciscan Action Network and many other national Catholic organizations.
The intent is to bring together Catholics to promote human dignity in a wave of local prophetic witness events from Ash Wednesday through Corpus Christi so that there are public prayer witnesses in each of the 196 dioceses in the USA. We invite you to come be inspired by what others are planning in their local communities and to get the tools you'll need to form or grow a local coordinating team to plan your local event. In anticipation of the kick-off of the Season of Faithful Witness, which begins on Ash Wednesday, two additional national orientation calls will be held next week to give people the opportunity to learn about the initiative, to be inspired by what fellow Catholics are doing and planning, and to offer them support and resources that will help them to form or grow a local coordinating team.
These sessions are meant for anyone who registered, but is primarily for those who missed the national orientation call on January 20 or for anyone who has recently learned about the Season of Faithful Witness and who would like to learn more about how they can participate in this prophetic wave of public witness.
